Q. What’s your name?
A. My real name is Marissa, but online I usually go by Omni or Witch.
Q. Where do you live?
A. I live in Pennsylvania, USA.

A. I’m a lady, and lady pronouns are fine.
Q. Do/Did you go to college?
A. Yes, I have a BA.
Q. Do you do artwork for a living?
A. No. I work in educational outreach for a non-profit environmental organization and at a library. Freelance commissions are a side job.
Q. Are you a tree-hugger?
A. Professionally!
Q. Do you have any OCs?
A. Several. You'll see them here and there, especially on toyhouse.
Q. Can I draw you fanart?
A. Sure, that's nice of you. No NSFW though, please.
Q. Do you have skype?
A. Yes, but it’s really just for friends.
Q. Do you RP?
A. Sometimes, but just with friends.
Q. Can I commission you to draw your own characters?
A. Sure, so long as the request doesn't make me uncomfortable.
Q. Can I commission other people to draw your characters?

Q. Are you okay with people who are "kin" with your characters or who want to use them for rp/faceclaims?
A. No, do not use my personal characters, thank you.
✦ Art Related
Q. How long have you been taking commissions?
A. I began taking commissions in 2006.
Q. Is your work digital or traditional?
A. It depends. Sometimes both, but it’s mostly digital at this point. I don’t do much pure traditional work anymore because I don’t have a lot of room. Once in a blue moon I try my hand at crafting only for the universe to remind me that I should not be allowed near superglue or x-acto knives.
Q. What kind of tablet/art program/materials do you use?
A. I use Photoshop CC, Manga Studio 5, and a medium sized Wacom Intuos Pro Pen and Touch tablet. For traditional art, I like mechanical pencil, ink, pen, brush pen, watercolor pencils, acrylic, and watercolors.
Q. Do you ever livestream?
A. Yes, usually for a private audience.
Q. What textures do you use?
A. These ones by Hibbary, among others.
Q. Do you take requests?
A. Very, very, very rarely I will ask people to post character references and then pick one or more of them to draw. Otherwise, no, I do not, and please do not ask.
Q. Art trades?
A. Sometimes. I would prefer if we mutually follow each other.
Q. Can I repost your art on tumblr or another website?
A. I don’t mind so long as you link back to me on DA, aren't using my work for an external project or promotion (profit or non-profit), aren’t taking credit for the piece, aren’t claiming to be me, and aren’t profiting off my work. If you aren’t sure if I would approve of the website you want to repost my stuff on, just send me an ask. Look at my TOS under "Usage" for more information about what I'm okay with.
Q. Why don’t you upload your art to tumblr?
A. I have nothing against tumblr. It just makes me nervous how quickly art can spread around and how easily people remove the artist’s credit. Also, I’m lazy. I may decide later to repost some stuff, we’ll see.
Q. Where DO you upload it, then?
A. I have a deviantArt, which functions as my main gallery, another deviantArt, which focuses on adoptables and character art, and a Weasyl, which is a mixture of both.
Q. Can I use your artwork for rp forums, avatars, icons, etc.?
A. Over the past few years, commissions made up the vast majority of my art. That means a client paid me to draw for them, often featuring their personal characters. These pieces are only for the commissioner to use! With non-commission pieces, I don’t care if you use them for cropped avatars or school projects, but I am politely telling you not to use them for rp characters. If you are unsure what I would say about a certain situation, ask me.
Q. Can I publish your art in a book/magazine/video game/virtual pet site?
A. If you pay me.
Q. I have this great opportunity, and your art is perfect! I can't pay you, but you will get loads of experience and it will help you "get your name out there"!
A. This is how I view these inquiries: I have a skill that you want to employ, but you don't think it's worth actual money. You view art and my time as something you are entitled to.
I do not need to "get my name out there". If you want me to do work for you, you will pay me. Just like how you pay plumbers, doctors, and mechanics.
Q. Someone is stealing your art!
A. If they are profiting from my work, please report them if you are able to and let me know so that I may take the appropriate action. I would also appreciate if you could (calmly) link to my DA gallery so everyone knows they're a thief.
If they are reposting my art without a source or pretending that its theirs but are not selling or otherwise getting cash for my stuff, politely correct them and link them to my deviantart account. If they persist, please report them if you are able!
Thank you for looking out for me, but please do not harass the later. They are often young or inexperienced with online art etiquette and don't realize what they're doing is harmful to creators.
Q. What do you consider a "complex" character design?
A. I have notoriously low tolerance for complicated markings, and they are the primary reason I will charge extra. Other traits may include: wings, accessories, armor, extra limbs, robotics, and detailed hair.
Q. Do you ever sell designs?
A. Yes, occasionally I sell character designs ("adoptables") for non-commercial use on my secondary deviantArt account.
